Stopgap Dance Company | The Enormous Room
“The Times: What estimable performers! The security and daring with which they move, and the emotional honesty they bring seems second nature.”
How do we humans cope with grief? In their latest production, the British Stopgap Dance Company goes in search of the answer, following a father and a daughter who are struggling with the loss of their spouse and mother in The Enormous Room. Each movement is deliberate, compelling and, ultimately, calls forth the solace to go on living.
Since 1995 Stopgap has been promoting a pioneering form of dance that brings together disabled and non-disabled artists in productions that stand out for their innovative spirit, intellect and power. We are proud to be hosting this company’s first performance both at the Holland Dance Festival and in the Netherlands.
