3 minute compositions
Are you a trained dancer or would you just like to experience what all these discussions during DanceAble are about? In this workshop participants with no, little and substantial dance experience will work together. Everyone will be stimulated, in their own level, to explore their limits.
After a short introduction and warming-up we will kick off with ‘3 minute compositions’. Using this format, you will learn how to make a dance translation. Questions regarding the presentation of inclusive dance will naturally arise from this practice, alternating action and reflection. This workshop might be a fertile soil for sparkling conversations and discussions during this symposium.
Goele van Dijck
Goele van Dijck (1969) studied to become a dance teacher at the Fontys Hogeschool. Her quest for the essence of dance led her to inclusive dance. She danced in ‘An egg is enough’ by Adam Benjamin and then started her own dance projects in inclusive dance. Among other productions, she created Lilium (Fabuleus) and Kleefkruid (Artforum), and Pitstop (Holland Dance Festival). She’s a guest teacher at several schools in Belgium and the Netherlands. Apart from her inclusive work, she creates dance performances for the senses for young audiences with her own company Nat Gras.
