On February 18, 19 and 20, 2021, the first edition of Mixable Festival will kick off! A dance festival for unprecedented talent.

As a proud partner, Holland Dance Festival has been involved in the project for some time. Last year we had the Mixable webinar about an inclusive arts sector. This year the festival is full of performances, master classes and talks.

This first edition of the festival will focus on international collaborations versus regional collaborations in the field of inclusion (dance), with a focus on talent development. Different generations and backgrounds will come together to share insights, develop thoughts in the field of social, artistic work. The MIXABLE FESTIVAL is an event to promote collaboration in the arts field in the field of unrecognized talent. The approach is practical, interactive and straightforward!

Especially for this Mixable Webinar, Holland Dance Festival is producing a choreography by Faizah Grootens in collaboration with Annemieke Mooij: When silence was abrupted (Thursday 18 February, 15.30-15.45 hrs)

When silence was abrupted explores the physical embodiment of 2 souls at a loss for words due to the tensions of the unknown. The unknown intensifies their relationship and exposes their need for safety and their sense of belonging, playing with different characters.

In addition, our colleague Yolanda, as an expert on inclusive dance education and participation, will participate in the panel discussion on inclusive education (Friday, February 19, 1:00-14:00 pm).
