For the Zurich University of the Arts, the psychological and physical integrity of its students is of utmost importance. The ZHdK is committed to providing a safe space for its students and takes its responsibility to them very seriously.
During the ongoing administrative review, an interim management team will take over.
In addition to operations manager Sandra Nussberger, the team will include Prof. Jason Beechey, rector of the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden, and Samuel Wuersten, artistic head of contemporary dance at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). The faculty representative and Kristina Trolle, the quality manager, will also be part of the interim management team.
Samuel Wuersten is already a part of the Zurich University of the Arts, as the Artistic Head of the Contemporary Dance program in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. After worldwide engagements as a dancer, choreographer and teacher, he has been a jury member at renowned dance competitions, and he is also the director of the Holland Dance Festival. In addition, he is a member of the group of experts who developed a new concept for the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera.
The new management team will actively start working with taZ at the start of the school year in mid-August 2022.
