Talent on the Move 2021 Tour
“Meet the stars of tomorrow”
From Jiří Kylián to Hans van Manen, from Cayetano Soto to Hofesh Shechter, the range of world-renowned choreographers whose work has been shown during successive Talent On The Move editions in recent years is impressively large and varied. Talent On The Move is the annual touring programme of the virtuoso and versatile top dance talents of Codarts Rotterdam, the international hotspot for contemporary dance. Also in season 2020/2021 you can enjoy a selection of the best that contemporary dance has to offer – of solos and duets, of group works, of existing repertoire of international top choreographers, but also of new choreographies of up-and-coming talents that have been created especially for Codarts dancers. Talent On The Move is an infectious, heart-warming show at the highest level, in which the passion and energy of the stage spurt off: every year, every year different, and now for more than ten years.
More info on participating theatres and dates follow.
The annual tour of Talent On The Move is a joint initiative of Holland Dance Festival and Codarts Rotterdam. Holland Dance Festival has its home base in the city of dance, The Hague, and programmes leading national and international dance productions and its own performances and projects throughout the year, culminating in the biennial dance biennial in The Hague, which is renowned worldwide. Over the years Codarts Rotterdam has developed into one of the most prominent training institutes for contemporary dance in Europe. This allows the students to benefit from Codarts’ excellent connections with the international professional field. Holland Dance Festival and Codarts Rotterdam are happy to offer young top talent a national stage, an initiative that received a lot of support last year from Minister of Culture Ingrid van Engelshoven. Talent On The Move enables the dancers to gain extensive, necessary stage experience, as the programme can be seen in about thirty cities in the Netherlands every year. In 2018, the young dancers even concluded their tour with two very successful performances at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City.
