Throughout the year Holland Dance Festival offers various workshops and courses with a twin focus on dance and ageing. Two years ago the resulting production of Good [old] Times was so well received that the dancers were even invited to give a performance at London’s prestigious Sadler’s Wells Theatre. For this year’s edition, the festival asked Monique Masselink of PRA Muziektheater to make a new creation.
Together with choreographer/dancer Andrea Beugger and Dries van der Post they assemble young and old dancers, professionals and amateurs. The power of this meeting between the participants and their respective worlds sends sparks flying off the stage, as the dancers draw the audience into their desires, memories and dreams still to be fulfilled.
