“The world's biggest choreographic duet competition”
You will receive the link to the livestream on the day itself.
RIDCC (also known as Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition) experienced its first edition in 2018. After great success, RIDCC is now an annual festival, with a choreography competition at its core, which this year will be held on 24, 25, and 26 June 2021 in Theater Rotterdam. RIDCC is the springboard for choreographic talent; they offer visibility and concrete opportunities in the form of many awards.
417 duets by choreographic talent worldwide were registered for RIDCC 2021. A pre-jury has selected 16 beautiful duets that will be presented to the public and a professional jury during RIDCC. The talents have a chance to win no less than 9 Partner Awards, the Audience Award and the XL Production Award.
By means of a live stream of the semi-finals, finals and award ceremony, RIDCC offers the participants the visibility that the choreographers deserve and gives the audience the opportunity to admire all the wonderful talent. Also, the audience may vote online for the duet that deserves the Audience Award!

About our collaboration: ”The support of a new international choreography competition fits perfectly within the broadly experienced mission of Holland Dance Festival. Scouting for talent and making it visible is what we have in common with the organization of RIDCC. We also think it is important that the expertise we have built up over the years in promoting and presenting dance can be shared with a young organization. In this way, our knowledge and experience will benefit this special initiative by dancers Maya Roest and Mischa van Leeuwen,” says Samuel Wuersten, Artistic Director and General Manager of the Holland Dance Festival.
