Masterclass | Martha Graham Dance Company | Denise Vale
“An introduction to the technique of dance legend Martha Graham”
Martha Graham, whose life and career encompassed almost the entire twentieth century, is the founder of contemporary American dance. Graham was not only a woman who was expressing movement – she was and propagated movement itself. Her work will therefore always be distinctive and timeless. We are proud to bring the legacy of the world’s most legendary dance icon to the Netherlands and have audiences in The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam enjoy the Martha Graham Dance Company. On Tuesday February 6 Denise Vale Senior Artistic Associate – will give a workshop Graham Technique.
About Denise Vale
Denise Vale joined the Martha Graham Dance Company in 1985 as first soloist. She danced the lead in various choreographies, including the ballet Night Chant that was created specifically for her in 1989 by Martha Graham. Apart from that Vale performed in a number of solo’s, including Lamentation, Frontier, Satyric Festival Song and Serenata Morisca.
About the workshop
