Martha Graham, wier leven en carrière bijna de hele twintigste eeuw omvatten, is dé grondlegster van de Amerikaanse moderne dans. In een exclusief samengesteld programma vieren wij de nalatenschap van ’s werelds meest legendarische dansicoon.
Martha Graham was een vrouw die niet bezig was beweging uit te drukken – ze was en propageerde de beweging zelf. Haar werk zal hierdoor altijd onderscheidend en tijdloos blijven. Dit programma biedt een uniek overzicht van Grahams vroege choreografieën tot en met haar laatste creatie.
Deze productie is een copresentatie van Holland Dance Festival, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, Nieuwe Luxor Rotterdam, HIGHLIGHTS DES INTERNATIONALEN TANZES in Bonn, Internationale Tanzwochen Neuss en Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg.
