On Saturday, June 21, a special and exclusive conversation will take place with choreographer Jiří Kylián, one of the greatest icons in the international dance world. Together with two other icons from the international dance scene – Samuel Wuersten (director of the Holland Dance Festival) and Ingrid Lorentzen (artistic director of the Norwegian National Ballet) – we will look back, look ahead, and delve deeply into the life and work of one of the greatest choreographers of our time.
The occasion is the grand Kylián Festival in Oslo and the impressive retrospective Wings of Time in Amare ( Wed 18 - Sun 22 June 2025) . A perfect moment to reflect on the life, work, and lasting influence of this master choreographer. In this unique encounter, Jiří Kylián shares his vision on creation, his artistic philosophy, his personal reflections on this phase of his life, and his special connection with both Oslo and The Hague – the cities where he brought his most important works to life and sparked a renaissance of modern ballet as an art form.
A rare insight into the mind and heart of a world-class choreographer. A moment not to be missed by anyone moved by the power of dance and the work of Jiří Kylián.
Attendance at the interview is free, but registration is required.
