Botis Seva creates new work for NDT!

It was only last December that Botis Seva made waves with his performance Until We Sleep in Amare. Now the Olivier Award-winning hip-hop artist is back with a new work - specially created for NDT2. Alongside Marco Goecke's choreography and Johan Inger's Walking Mad, Seva brings a new voice to NDT with Watch ur Mouth.
How do you keep making art in the midst of negative feedback when your work is getting more and more attention? The new work by Botis Seva, founder of Far From The Norm, explores the impact of criticism on the creative process.
As a choreographer within hip hop, physical theatre and contemporary dance, Seva continues to innovate his approach. His work is characterised by a complex, emotional movement language.
We need to go back to why we started creating in the first place,' says the hip-hop artist. Not to focus on other people's opinions, but on our higher purpose: to bring light into the darkness of the world.
Falling into Shadow with the work of Marco Goecke, Johan Inger & Botis Sevan is on tour throughout the Netherlands and from 23 to 25 April at Amare, The Hague.
