Fast Forward | Collaboration between Compagnie Tiuri and Hofesh Shechter Company

23 July 2024

On July 23, Compagnie Tiuri will leave for London for the inspiring and unique collaboration with the renowned Hofesh Shechter Company. The company will collaborate with the dancers of Shechter II to make a dance film called “A bird named Mansour,” which will be captured in the documentary “Muses.

This special collaboration is part of Fonds Podiumkunsten's Fast Forward program, which offers mid-career makers such as Jordy Dik the chance to deepen their work internationally and expand their network. With this opportunity, Dik, artistic director of Compagnie Tiuri, is working to develop his inclusive dance company with international stature. The trajectory begins with a research lab and creation of a dance film at Hofesh Shechter Company (with dancers from Shechter II) in London along with five dancers from Compagnie Tiuri.

“The Fast Forward trajectory is a unique step into the future for me as a choreographer and human being. I expect a rich encounter and collaboration with Hofesh Shechter Company. The genius choreographies, the qualities of the dancers and the incomparable music of Hofesh touch me in the roots of my own creative fire,” said Jordy Dik. “I look forward to working with these insane dancers and getting to know the entire organization. This track offers a great opportunity to further grow and contribute to the dance and community art world, both in the Netherlands and internationally.”
