Holland Dance Festival present at “Inclusief Samenleven” partner symposium

27 January 2025

On Thursday 16 January, Holland Dance Festival was present at the Hague Partner Symposium on Inclusive Living of the Municipality of The Hague, where the magazine 'Allemaal Haags, Iedereen anders' was launched, to which the dancer Petra of DanceAble had the honour of making an inspiring contribution.

Every day, many people and organisations in The Hague work towards a society in which everyone can participate equally and be themselves.

In the ambience of the Grote Kerk, in the heart of 'our' city, a number of professionals committed to equal opportunities and connection came together to celebrate 'inclusion' in the broadest sense of the word.

Inclusion Councillor Mariëlle Vavier opened the evening and praised the commitment of the many organisations for their tireless work towards a common goal: an inclusive city.

Only together can we truly make The Hague an inclusive city," said Councillor Vavier.

What was special about this speech was the special mention of DanceAble, to make dance accessible to everyone.

After the inspiring opening speeches, it was time to unveil The Hague's magazine Allemaal Haags, Iedereen anders. In November 2024, Haagse Schatten & Gemeente Den Haag asked if Holland Dance Festival would like to collaborate in the realisation of the magazine. We didn't have to think long. Less than three months later we received the insightful interview and photo collage about DanceAble through the eyes of dancer Petra.
