The Hague's cultural sector joins forces: Stimulating cultural campaign invites residents and visitors to experience culture this autumn

14 October 2024

How about... dance (dans)? How about... theatre (theater)? How about... comedy (comedy)? Fourteen leading venues and cultural institutions in The Hague, including Holland Dance Festival, are joining forces in a joint cultural campaign! From today, 14 October, you can see six posters with the question "How about...?" to put the spotlight back on The Hague's wonderful cultural offer.

The series of posters with six inspiring questions 'How about...' will colour the city in the coming weeks. This collective cultural campaign is an initiative of 14 leading cultural institutions and venues in The Hague (Amare, CultuurSchakel, NDT, Korzo, Het Nationale Theater, Zuiderparktheater, Residentie Orkest, Movies that Matter, Filmhuis Den Haag, De Betovering, Festival Dag in de Branding, PAARD, Diligentia-Pepijn, Holland Dance Festival, Popradar Den Haag/Haagse Popweek), which are committed to bringing (new) audiences into contact with culture and to making a fist against the possible changes in the political vision of culture. political vision on culture. Now that the cultural season has started again, the cultural sector is putting the spotlight on what it has to offer, both to visit and to experience.

The idea for the campaign originated during a meeting with the marketers of the participating institutions and was widely supported. Among others, het Haags cultuuroverleg (the Hague Cultural Council)and the organisers of the Spotlight Festival offered the collective their house style and a common landing page so that the cultural tips could be found in one central place.  The Spotlight Festival at the beginning of September was a nice kick-off, which will now be continued throughout the year. The logos of all participants are subtly visible in the design of the 'How about' campaign.
