Dance as a source of connection – Ingrid van Engelshoven joins the Committee of Recommendation

Former Minister of Education, Culture and Science, Ingrid van Engelshoven, has joined the Committee of Recommendation of the Holland Dance Festival. For many years, she has been committed to culture, diversity, and participation – and she views dance as more than just an art form.

To her, dance is a place for meeting, learning, and understanding. Especially in a city like The Hague, where so many cultures and stories converge, dance can be the language everyone understands. With her vision and dedication, she brings valuable insight to the Holland Dance Festival and to The Hague as an international dance city.

We are proud to welcome Ingrid van Engelshoven to the Committee of Recommendation. Together with fellow members – Simone Filippini, Saskia Kriekhaus, Chazia Mourali, Els van der Plas, and Jan Franssen, Gilbert Monod de Froideville, Jan Kooijman, Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, and Herman Tjeenk Willink – she supports the Holland Dance Festival in building a future where dance inspires, connects, and moves.
