Dance as a Source of Connection – Ingrid van Engelshoven Joins the Committee of Recommendation

Former Minister of Education, Culture and Science Ingrid van Engelshoven has joined the Committee of Recommendation of Holland Dance Festival. For many years, she has been a dedicated advocate for culture, diversity, and participation – and sees dance as more than just an art form.

For her, dance is a place of encounter, learning, and understanding. Especially in a city like The Hague, where so many cultures and stories come together, dance can be the language that everyone understands. With her vision and engagement, she makes a valuable contribution to both the Holland Dance Festival and The Hague as an international city of dance.

We are proud to welcome Ingrid van Engelshoven to our Committee of Recommendation. Together with the other committee members – Simone Filippini, Saskia Kriekhaus, Chazia Mourali, Els van der Plas, Jan Franssen, Gilbert Monod de Froideville, Jan Kooijman, Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, and Herman Tjeenk Willink – they support Holland Dance Festival organization in building a future in which dance inspires, connects, and moves.
