Looking back at 2024!

The new year is just around the corner! We proudly look back on a year with many highlights. 
 
In 2024...
  • We kicked off with Holland Dance Festival 2024. In four weeks we presented over 60 performances, in 20 different productions, 24 dance companies, 300 dancers, 30 nationalities and there were also 40 workshops;
  • Worlds came together at Holland Dance Festival @ The Grand, where haute cuisine and high level dance came together;
  • There were weekly dance classes at Good [old] Times & DanceAble, where the fun of dancing came first;
  • With our partners, Amare - The Hague & Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), we presented two FIND productions SKID & Wild Poetry and Until We Sleep at Amare, The Hague;
  • We baptised Rotterdam the heavy metal capital of the Netherlands. During Black Sabbath - The Ballet, the sparks flew at the new Luxor Theatre;
  • Giving young Codarts dancers a stage to perform on with Talent On The Move (these dance stars of the future will be touring again in 2025!);
  • We've trained dance teachers to teach inclusive dance classes at the Teacher Training Course;
  • In collaboration with Haags Hiphop Centrum (H3C) and choreographer Tomás Lopes, is the dance film Playthrough the Beat, created, which is expected to be released in January/February 2025;
  • We presented our very first Inclusion Dance Event with the choreography Het licht tussen ons and the dance film A Bird Named Mansour in collaboration with Dik Danstheater and the dancers from VSO de Pyramide, Viertaal College & Inspecteur S. de Vriesschool.
 
Alongside all these great moments, 2024 has also had some bumps in the road. In addition to the cultural uncertainties of the political landscape, we unfortunately did not receive a grant from the Fonds Podiumkunsten last year. Nevertheless, we continue because dance inspires. We are proud to be able to unleash the passion and power of dance and to connect people all over the world through dance.
 
In the coming year, we will continue with our mission: Dance for all! Thank you to all dance lovers for your passion, dedication and sharing of the love of dance. We can't wait to celebrate another year of dance with you in 2025!
