From today, the Nederlandse Dansdagen (Dutch Dance Days) will take place in Maastricht for the 27th time. From grandmasters to up-and-coming talents, from established performances to exciting premieres, the festival of Dutch dance will once again be celebrated to the full.
From Friday 4 October to Thursday 10 October, dance lovers will once again be able to enjoy quality Dutch dance: from 'classical' to 'urban', from 'avant-garde' to 'modern dance'. The festival opens with the Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala, where the country's most important dance awards are presented, including the VSCD's prestigious Zwanen and Jonge Zwanen. Many of the nominated dancers or performances can also be seen during the festival itself.
A wide range of dance performances and the best of Dutch dance is what the Dutch Dance Days are all about.
