De start van RIDCC 2024

Today begins the sixth edition of Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC). During the preliminary rounds on June 20 and 21, sixteen duets, in every possible dance style, will be presented. On Saturday, June 22, the event concludes with a grand finale, in which you will see the duets selected by a renowned jury, including Holland Dance Festival director Samuel Wuersten.
Yesterday, our participants gathered for an inspiring kick-off at the theatre. Some participants have already been on stage for their lighting & dress rehearsal. All the choreographers met yesterday at the welcoming drinks and it was very nice to see each other in real life after months of emailing and online meetings. The night was filled with introductions, networking and an overview of what to expect in the coming days.
The energy and anticipation are tangible as we embark on this incredible journey celebrating dance, creativity, and passion. There are still some tickets available for tonight.
