Theaterman en voormalige directeur Amare Jan Zoet overleden

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Jan Zoet, former director of Amare, on Saturday 14 December.
Jan Zoet was an exceptionally committed personality to the arts, especially the performing arts. As director of Amare, he was at the cradle of Fonds Internationale Dans (FIND), an initiative of Amare, Holland Dance Festival and Nederlands Dans Theater. At the official announcement, he said of FIND: 'Amare will have the most beautiful dance theatre in the Netherlands. And The Hague loves dance. FIND, together with our partners, will make it possible to show more and bigger international productions in Amare and to bring our dance audience into contact with them.
Jan, a theatre man at heart, will be greatly missed. We wish his loved ones, friends, colleagues and fellow fighters for the arts much strength in coping with this great loss.
