While we can't wait, Fonds Internationale Dans (FIND, Fund International Dance) presents in collaboration with Filmhuis Den Haag two films about dance, Encore and Mist, featuring choreography by none other than Damien Jalet (SKID) and Hofesh Shechter (Wild Poetry).
Classical ballet and modern dance come together in Encore (2022), a story of a young ballet dancer who must turn her life around due to an injury.
26-year-old ballet dancer Élise suffers an injury during a performance and is told she will probably never be able to dance again. She has lost her purpose and must turn her life around. With the help of friends, she finds other work. This takes her to Brittany where she meets a company for modern dance. The new experiences and friendships rekindle the fire in her. Will she be able to dance again after all?
Lead actress Marion Barbeau is prima ballerina with the famous Paris Opera ballet. In addition, famous choreographer Hofesh Shechter and his company collaborated, which benefits the film's impressive dance scenes.
