“Een explosie van dans, energie en levenslust”

Especially for the anniversary edition of Holland Dance Festival, Gauthier Dance will set The Hague, Rotterdam and Tilburg ablaze with FireWorks: a dazzling performance where passion, creativity and top talent collide.

Twelve leading choreographers join forces in an evening bursting with boundless expression and iconic dance moments.

Part 1 – Ten New Dance Sparks
The first part of FireWorks presents ten brand-new, short pieces – each inspired by carefully chosen music. Renowned names such as Mauro Bigonzetti, Virginie Brunelle, Stijn Celis, Dominique Dumais, Marco Goecke, Johan Inger, Barak Marshall, Benjamin Millepied and Sofia Nappi deliver a kaleidoscope of styles, moods and emotions. A vibrant fireworks display that’s never the same twice.

Part 2 – Icons in a New Light
This is followed by four gems from Gauthier Dance’s rich repertoire, brought back to life with surprising new accents. Experience, among others, Lickety-Split by Alejandro Cerrudo and ABC by Eric Gauthier – classics that shine anew in these fresh interpretations.

For the grand finale, Gauthier Dance joins forces with Gauthier Dance Juniors in a breathtaking version of Ravel’s Bolero. On trampolines! What begins with subtle rhythms and playful bouncing grows into an explosion of jumps, shouts and pure joy. And when the confetti cannons fire, the energy bursts into the audience – no one can stay in their seat.

Their boundless energy, zest for life and limitless passion for dance – all grounded in an impressive technical foundation. Artistic director Eric Gauthier, former dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet, has spent seventeen years uniting top talent and audience favourites like no other. The result is a company that sparkles, inspires and keeps surprising.

FireWorks is a feast for the eyes, ears and heart. Catch it in The Hague, Rotterdam or Tilburg– a performance you don’t just see, but feel in every fiber of your being.
