At Holland Dance Festival we believe that dance is for everyone. Our goal is to make dance accessible to children, teenagers and (young) adults with disabilities. Dance connects, inspires and can change lives, but we cannot always do it alone.
Thanks to the contribution of Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind, we can make inclusive dance classes like DanceAble possible. With DanceAble we offer inclusive dance classes for young people with and without disabilities. We also invite inclusive dance companies and run dance classes in special schools. In this way, as many young people as possible can experience the power of dance.
The Dutch Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind is an independent foundation. With a permanent team of around 40 colleagues and the support of many donors, volunteers and other stakeholders, they work hard to achieve their ideal: no child without friends. A society in which children with and without disabilities grow up together. Where it is normal for them to go to school together, play together on the playground and do sports together in the same sports club.
Holland Dance Festival is very grateful for the support of Stichting het Gehandicapte Kind.
