Job Vacancy – Strategic and Dynamic Marketing Manager

Part-time

As a dynamic, internationally oriented dance organization, we offer our audiences a ‘window to the world’ throughout the year by bringing the highest-quality and most significant dance productions from all corners of the globe to the Netherlands.

At the heart of our activities is the biennial Holland Dance Festival, which we have been organizing since 1987. As the only international dance biennale in the Netherlands, the festival showcases remarkable, high-quality dance productions from around the world—most of them Dutch premieres that would not be seen here without our initiative.

We believe that dance is for everyone: professionals and amateurs, people with and without physical or intellectual disabilities, schoolchildren as well as elderly residents of care and nursing homes, and every age group in between. That’s why we develop educational activities, special projects, workshops, and ongoing, tailor-made programs for groups of all backgrounds, generations, and social classes.

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the development and implementation of the marketing campaign for our Jubilee Edition. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the marketing team and external collaborators.
  • Contribute to the development, execution, and monitoring of the overarching marketing campaign for the Anniversary Edition, under the guidance of the Head of Marketing.

  • Oversee the social media strategy and content creation for various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Collaborate with partners to strategically promote performances, workshops, and side programs.
  • Coordinate the production and delivery of marketing materials—such as flyers, posters, digital ads, banners, and video content—in close cooperation with external designers, video/photo teams, and media partners.
  • Coordinate communications around outreach events, ensuring the right target audiences are reached (e.g. seniors, schools, community organizations).
  • Monitor campaign performance, audience reach, and media coverage.
  • Manage the marketing budget and handle invoicing.
  • Coordinate festival branding and on-site visual presence.
  • Contribute to press and reporting materials for funding programs, including Europe Beyond Access (EBA).

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience coordinating marketing campaigns in the arts, culture, or festival sector.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of Dutch (required) and good working knowledge of English.
  • Experience with social media management and content planning.
  • Ability to efficiently organize day-to-day tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with newsletter tools (such as Mailchimp) and working with external designers.
