Our Finance department is currently seeking an accurate and proactive financial administration assistant on a minimum-maximum contract of 16 to 22 hours per week. In this position, you play an essential role in ensuring correct and well-organised administration. In addition, you will provide support to the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports and key figures.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Providing billing to schools, partners and other customers
- Processing lesson and event revenues
- Monitoring cash and bank movements and processing the related data in the accounts
- Preparing payment batches
- Preparing direct debits from our ambassadors
- Maintaining the asset register
- Serving as the primary point of contact, both internally and externally, for inquiries related to financial administration
- Managing the e-mail inbox (invoice@holland-dance.com) and answering any questions received;
- Managing the budget and reporting sheets in Excel;
- Ensuring that budget holders periodically receive project entries and discussing any changes arising from this check;
- Preparing the monthly and year-end closing and supporting the finance manager in preparing the file for the auditor and in preparing financial reports and key figures.
We are looking for someone who:
- has a proven track record in financial administration, holding a degree or diploma at the MBO-4 level or above, ideally in Modern Business Administration.
- in possess of in-depth knowledge of accounting software, particularly Twinfield and Basecone, and be proficient in the use of Excel.
- has a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail, with a preference for experience working in project-based organisations.
- is based in The Hague or its immediate vicinity
- a strong connection with culture
- is comfortable with min/max contracts and irregular working hours, which can be estimated well in advance to ensure planning flexibility. The majority of peak periods occur in the first and fourth quarters of the calendar year.
