Immerse yourself in the movement and dynamics of water in this inclusive workshop by ConCuerpos. Together, participants will explore connection, weight, balance and mutual support through movement, discovering how individual bodies can come together to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
Through improvisation, composition and playful movement exercises, you will engage in both individual and collective physical research. Inspired by the ever-changing qualities of water, the workshop encourages participants to experiment, collaborate and experience the power of moving together.
The workshop is led by Diana León and Fabián Mariano, dancers of ConCuerpos, with the support of choreographer Laisvie Andrea Ochoa and dancer Anneloes van Schuppen. Everyone is welcome, regardless of dance experience or physical ability.
These workshops are part of ConCuerpos’ visit to the Netherlands. Through its partnership in Europe Beyond Access, Holland Dance Festival has built a longstanding relationship with the pioneering Colombian inclusive dance company. Choreographer Laisvie Andrea Ochoa has become a familiar face at the festival, presenting a preview of FOCARIS during the DanceAble Symposium and working with participants of Good [old] Times earlier this year.
Alongside the European presentation of FOCARIS at Korzo on 11 September, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to experience the inclusive artistic practice of ConCuerpos firsthand. An inspiring encounter where movement, creativity and accessibility come together.
