Founded by the British choreographer Hofesh Shechter, Hofesh Shechter Company is celebrated worldwide for its raw energy, physical intensity, and the powerful interplay of dance, music, and emotion. The company blends contemporary dance with street and theatrical influences, creating works that are both technically demanding and emotionally charged. Iconic pieces include Uprising, Political Mother, and Theatre of Dreams, offering dancers an immersive experience of the body in motion.
About the Masterclass
Led by Bruno Guillore, Associate Artistic Director of Hofesh Shechter Company, this masterclass includes a full company class exploring Hofesh’s fundamental movement principles. Participants will engage the body through varied tasks and intensities using improvisation, before delving into repertoire from the acclaimed piece Theatre of Dreams, that also can be seen during the 20e jubilee edition of Holland Dance Festival in The Hague, Utrecht and Tilburg.
The masterclass is open to all levels — everyone is welcome to experience the work. We believe that a diverse group enriches the session and creates a deeper, more inspiring shared experience.
About Bruno Guillore
Trained at the Conservatoire de Paris under Quentin Rouillier, Bruno Guillore was a founding member of Hofesh Shechter Company and has contributed to all of Shechter’s creations, from early works such as Uprising and In Your Rooms to the most recent Double Murder. He has performed in Political Mother, Survivor, Sun, and Barbarians.
Guillore has also worked with renowned choreographers including Richard Wherlock, Guilherme Botelho, Ed Wubbe, Örjan Andersson, Itzik Galili, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Stijn Celis, Mauro Bigonzetti, Didy Veldman, Marie Chouinard, Clara Andermatt, Rui Lopes Graça, Regina van Berkel, and Paulo Ribeiro. He is featured in the film Passengers by Richard Wherlock.
