In this dynamic open class (7.00 - 9.00 PM) , Jiahao, the leading monk in the performance Sutra, guides you through the basic movements of Kung Fu. With smooth translation by Mr Li Fei, you will learn not only the technique, but also the philosophy behind this ancient martial art.
The open Kung Fu Moves class is open to all levels. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. It is open to both ticket holders and those interested in discovering the art of Kung Fu. Be sure to register in advance. Full is full!
About Sutra
Sutra will be performed at Amare on 28, 29 and 30 May. Since childhood, Cherkaoui has been fascinated by the spirituality and physical control of the Shaolin monks. He lived with them in China for a while, which led to Sutra: an artistic journey full of cultural exchange. In an ingenious set of 21 wooden boxes designed by Antony Gormley, the performance combines spectacular acrobatics with humour and - poignancy. Szymon Brzóska's specially composed music completes the show. Sutra has become an internationally acclaimed dance production, breaking down barriers between disciplines and cultures.
