“Meet the dance heroes of tomorrow — today!”
Holland Dance Festival proudly shines a spotlight on the next generation of talent. This year, we are delighted to present KC Dance 70 Years. In Motion!, in which the young dancers of the Royal Conservatoire Dance share their passion, strength, and emotion with the audience. The vibrant programme is complemented by special performances from KC alumni.
What makes this performance so special is the unique collaboration between emerging dancers and renowned choreographers. The choreographers challenge the young performers and help them refine their technique, while the dancers, in turn, inspire with their fresh perspective and boundless energy. The result is a performance brimming with dynamism and vitality, where experience and youth merge and spark in every movement.
KC Dance 70 Years. In Motion! takes the audience on an emotional journey through a variety of styles and genres. The young dancers use their bodies to tell stories that speak directly to the heart. Their openness and courage make this evening not only inspiring, but also a glimpse into the future of dance.
Since 1956, the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague has been nurturing young talent in academic theatre dance. From the age of ten, these young dancers are guided and trained to become highly skilled performers with a deep understanding of technique, creativity, and the rich tradition of dance art. The programme is renowned for its inspiring learning environment and its close collaborations — including the long-standing partnership with Nederlands Dans Theater through the Young Talent Project.
With KC Dance 70 Years. In Motion!, Holland Dance Festival celebrates the place where the future of dance begins: right here, with the young creators and performers who are destined to take the international stage by storm.
