This year, our Good [old] Times Production is dedicated to older people dancing for both youth and adults. A performance focused on the experience of the child and for the adults memories to elementary school days.
Following our production, we offer this workshop in which children and adults dance with each other. As a (grand)parent dancing together with your (grand)child.
Dancing together stimulates the motor skills, coordination and imagination of the child in a playful and natural way. Besides, it is incredibly fun to be in motion together, exploring and having fun.
About Lonneke van Leth
Lonneke van Leth is choreographer and artistic director of the youth dance company Lonneke van Leth Dans, named after her. In addition to choreographing for her own company, Lonneke worked as a choreographer for Het Nationale Theater, Toneelgroep De Appel and Theater aan het Spui, among others.
After a career as a (freelance) dancer with Introdans, among others, Lonneke van Leth started her choreographic career with Generale Oost and Korzo Theater in 2001. Later she also choreographed for festivals, such as Holland Dance Festival & CaDance.
Lonneke's classically modern work typifies itself as narrative, visual and humorous. With her eclectic dance language, Lonneke van Leth links the sensory and emotional power of the dancing body to indestructible stories and current themes. Touching young people, making them think and enthusing about (modern) dance.
Lonneke van Leth's work has received multiple nominations and awards. In January 2019, Lonneke directly received the Niekie v/d Berg award for the performance A Romeo and Juliet for its excellent connection to the young target audience. The same year, the choreographer was nominated for a Musical Awards 'Best Choreography' for the successful performance Het Pauperparadijs.
The combiticket (€12.50) gives access for 1 adult and 1 child.
