Dance knows no age limits. Dance connects, surprises, and gets people moving—literally and figuratively. With Good [old] Times, Holland Dance Festival has been showcasing for years that you are never too old to dance. This weekly series of classes for people aged 55 and older is all about fun, socializing, and the power of movement. Plus, it stimulates the production of so-called “happiness hormones.”
Good [old] Times is for anyone aged 55 and older who wants to dance, explore, and have fun. Whether you’re stepping into a dance studio for the first time or already have experience, we offer classes at various levels in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.
During the introductory course (10:00 - 11:30), you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of modern dance, supplemented with influences from other dance styles. This versatility is reflected not only in the movement but also in the music. Under the guidance of professional instructors from the Holland Dance Festival, you’ll work on your fitness, balance, muscle strength, flexibility, and body awareness in an accessible way.
But above all, it’s about moving together and the joy of dance. In an open and safe environment, you’ll discover how dance energizes, relaxes, and creates new connections.
The beginner’s course is open to everyone aged 55 and older. Perfect for new dancers or for those who want to be challenged at a gentle pace.
