Dancing & Generations is an interactive afternoon focused on the role of older (amateur) dancers and of dance professionals. Addressing stereotypes and age discrimination in dance, as well as exploring the interplay between generations, are two topics that promise to spark insightful discussions. Through presentations, sharing 'good practices', a breakout session, and a panel discussion, participants will collectively discover how dance can be utilized and implemented in widely embraced initiatives, contributing to social, mental, and physical well-being.
The Dance & Creative Wellness Foundation is a European non-profit organization founded by and for professional artists, providing an inclusive 'voice' for individuals, researchers and companies pioneering high-quality artistic work in 'applied dance'. The aim of this Focus Day is to bring together dance institutions, practitioners, healthcare innovators, insurers, and policymakers for a vibrant exchange of dialogue, dance experiences, and ideas.
The power of dance makes a valuable contribution to the overall well-being of a dancer. Dance plays an essential role in promoting a healthy life, particularly during periods when individuals face physical and mental challenges.
