“GRAND JETÉ – an ode to perfect imperfection”
After her overwhelming success at the previous Holland Dance Festival, Silvia Gribaudi returns — and what a return it is! In Grand Jeté, she once again delivers her irresistible blend of playfulness, humour, and irony..

Together with the MM Contemporary Dance Company, the Italian ensemble led by Michele Merola, Gribaudi creates a burlesque and liberating celebration of bodies, fashion, and togetherness.
Breaking rules, defying expectations
Taking inspiration from iconic ballet movements like the plié and the Grand Jeté — that light, graceful leap that seems almost technically impossible — Gribaudi turns everything upside down. Stereotypes, etiquette, audience expectations: nothing is left intact. Beneath its light-hearted surface lies a sharp and intelligent performance that reveals how humour and depth can coexist effortlessly. Each variation on that single leap opens up a new perspective on freedom, joy, and the way we view the body.
A catwalk full of character
The dancers appear in elegant black eveningwear: from mini shorts and satin shirts to cowboy boots and stilettos. With rolling hips and sensual poses, they transform the stage into a glamorous catwalk where dance and pop culture meet. Stylized, sexy, and daring.
Prepare to be surprised by this boundary-breaking performance that lets go of convention — and speaks straight to the heart.
